Why B2B Brands Need sOCIAL mEDIA

The fastest way to research a company is online. Whether it is new capital or new clients that a company is seeking, a positive perception of the business by their target audience is critical. It can make or break a deal.

A strong brand presence on social media for many companies is a proof point for what many early and growth stage businesses need to be perceived as: credible and legitimate.

Brand plays an important role in a company’s valuation. Fast growth companies that have begun to generate revenue are no longer just a business, product, name or logo. They are a brand. A brand is different from a company’s identity. A brand is the perception of a product, service, organization or experience.

Imagine a prospect that has recently been introduced to a member of the sales team. They connect on LinkedIn and the prospect clicks on their new contact’s associated company. What do they find? Does the business profile look professional? Is the value proposition clear? Will it increase their interest and drive them to action? In some cases, this is where the earliest impressions of the business are made.

Regardless of how credible a business is, if this isn’t reflected on a professional platform, the audience may see it differently.
